In this course the learners will study texts from American literature after they have studied British literature in the first semester. 

After this course, learners will be able to:

1. Be familiar with and understand the different movements in American literature

2. Distinguish works and recognize authors from different movements in American literature

3. Study some iconic Americana texts and masterpieces

This course is a continuation of the first semester in which the learners learnt the most important pillars of TEFL starting from learning theories, lesson planning, and classroom management.

In this semester the learners will be able to:

1. Finish classroom management by dealing with the teacher as an essential, yet often forgotten part of it.

2. Understand what professional development is and how it is important for teachers

3. Study different types of CPD such as classroom observation

4. Make and refine a classroom observation instrument for many purposes such as action research
